E' terminato senza reti il match più atteso della domenica di Premier League. Manchester City e Liverpool hanno pareggiato 0-0 e la squadra di Roberto Mancini è costretta a guardarsi alle spalle dal ritorno dell'Aston Villa, che ha travolto in casa il Burnley (5-2) agganciando i reds al sesto posto e portandosi a -1 dai Citizens, agganciati nel frattempo dal Tottenham che ha vinto 3-0 sul campo del Wigan. Il bomber segna l'ennesima doppietta ed i Red Devils sono a -1 dal Chelsea

Dopo il ko di sabato scorso con l'Everton, il Manchester United si riscatta contro il West Ham di Zola. Gli uomini di Ferguson dominano sin dal primo minuto l'anticipo della 28.a giornata e trovano la rete del vantaggio in chiusura di primo tempo con Rooney.
