Can somebody explain me one thing... The simbol of Panathinaikos is shamrock, there are Irish flags on their games... Is the club catholic or pravoslavian?

Yes, I know, Shamrock rovers I think... But, what I ment, Gate 13 are frendly with all catholic groups. Other Athens groups are frends wits Serbs. Does it mean anything or is just coincidance?

And Gate 4 (I think), PAOK Fans are frendly with Grobari (Partizan Beograd)... I didn't mean on Athens only, but this 3 teams are biggest in greece and 2 of them have Serbs as frends, and Pao only catholics...

tra il Paok e il Partizan il gemellaggio è basato anche sulla religione!

PAOK=PARTIZAN
PARTIZAN=PAOK

I think there are pseudo friendships between several other european teams fans and panathinaikos. It seems to be based on the colours of the shirts and very little else (shamrock rovers, rapid vienna, hammarby for example.......the common ground is only green and white), religion I doubt has anything to do with it.

There is also a friendship with the OV group of real madrid, that I think was formed firstly for basketball reasons.

EMBLEM: THE SHAMROCK

Short after the founding of the team George Kalafatis changed the name of the club to “Π .Π .Ο.”. (Panhellenic Football Club).

After the end of World War 1, football activity resumes and in 1918 Π .Π .Ο. establishes the green colour and the emblem of the shamrock which was designed by George Hatzopoulos, director of the National Gallery and member of Club.

The shamrock was brought to the club by Michalis Papazoglou, an athlete and later general secretary of Panathinaikos, who used to wear it at his former club of “Chalkidona” in Constantinopole.
