Yesterday in Thessaloniki, a motorcycle protest of Hercules Fans had
been scheduled with destination the hotel HYATT, where Karamanlis (the
president of Greece) and Mytilinaios(the owner of ELVO and ex-president
of greek footaball team Hercules) would be talking in terms of the
Eleventh financial forum. The people who participated in the protest where
many, and reached approximately 2 kilometres before the hotel HYATT,
where the policemen kept them from going further. Despite of all these
difficulties, Hercules fans left their cars and continued, walking through
the enclosed field, which was next to the road. The field happens to be
the academic farmstead of University Aristoteleio of Thessaloniki
( http://www.auth.gr/univ/units/universityFarm/index_el.html ).
The policemen did not respect the refuge of the University
and came in this field.
A conflict between policemen and Hercules fans took part for the next
twenty (20) minutes. Stones, torches and lacrymators were exchanged
between the two parts. When the policemen decided and attacked with
violence against Hercules Fans, in order to get them out of the field,
unbelievable situations took part. The fans went out of the field
and closed the door, while the policemen remained in, and continued throwing
lacrymators.
